December has been a busy month. If you’ve been anything like me, you’ve hardly had time to take a breath. Now that Christmas is finished, and the cold wind is blowing, I start dreaming.
Dreaming of a nice vacation.
The funny thing is, I wouldn’t even choose somewhere warm. Mexico or the Bahamas would be nice, of course. But when I think of a vacation, the first thing that comes to mind is a posh, deluxe hotel room.
Something that looks like this:
Yes. A big comfy bed. A big stack of books. Some snacks. And QUIET.
And here’s a confession for you:
I wouldn’t bring anyone with me. Not even my husband.
Well, maybe my husband could come after a couple of days. We could go out for a nice dinner. And then the kids could come a couple days after that. Because fancy hotels always have fun pools.
But those first couple days? They would be ALL MINE. I could do what I want. Watch what I want. Eat what I want. Sleep when I want.
Aaaah. Vacation.
What would be your vacation choice?

Sounds lovely! That’s the great part about motherhood. It has made me easier to please. A book and a nap is about all the vacation luxury I need

Totally agree! Alone at last!
That room looks heavenly! A book, a bed, and some alone-time quiet sounds like a good time to me!

My DREAM vacation! Add in a bottle or two of my favorite Moscato and I would be in HEAVEN! Here’s hoping that you get that vacation in the very near future!

I dream of those kinds of vacations but the reality is that the minute my husband is gone for a couple of days, I miss him so much it’s unbearable and no fun. Guess those vacations are way better in my imagination. LOL!
